2. Summary

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no third-party content. Fonts and all other files are served from our own web server. We only process personal data when you visit the website (server logs), when you contact us through the contact form or by email, and when you book a call with us through Calendly.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO under Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place on servers in Germany.

When you visit the website, the web server automatically processes data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, requested address, referrer URL, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, and browser and operating system information. This data is technically required to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and error-free operation of the website. We do not combine this data with other sources and do not use it for marketing. It is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes.

4. Encryption

Traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted with TLS, indicated by “https://” in the address bar.

5. Contact form and email

When you contact us through the form or by email, we process your name, email address, optionally your company, and the content of your message in order to answer your request. Form submissions are not stored on the web server; they are sent directly as an email to our mailbox hosted by STRATO.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns entering into or performing a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. Our legitimate interest is answering requests addressed to us.

We delete your request once it has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations – in particular under German commercial and tax law for business correspondence – require us to keep it. In that case we delete it when the retention period ends.

6. Booking a call (Calendly)

You can book an appointment with us through Calendly. The booking link opens Calendly’s own website; nothing is loaded from Calendly on our website, and no data is transferred before you click the link. When you book, Calendly processes your name, email address, the time you choose and any information you enter in the booking form on our behalf, and forwards the booking to us.

The provider is Calendly, LLC, 115 E Main St, Ste A1B, Buford, GA 30518, USA. We use Calendly as a processor under the data processing agreement that forms part of Calendly’s terms (Art. 28 GDPR). Transfers to the USA are based on Calendly’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) and, where it does not apply, on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the call serves to prepare a possible contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise; our legitimate interest is arranging meetings efficiently. We delete booking data when it is no longer needed for the meeting and any follow-up, subject to statutory retention obligations.

This website contains plain links, for example to our LinkedIn company page. No data is sent to the provider unless you click the link. After clicking, the provider’s own privacy policy applies.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding personal data concerning you:

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (www.datenschutz-berlin.de).

9. Obligation to provide data, automated decisions

You are not obliged to provide personal data. Without your contact details, however, we cannot answer your request. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
